Energy transition professional working across economics, modelling, and policy.
Currently at TERI's Energy Assessment and Modelling team, focused on decarbonisation
pathways and policy scenarios for India's energy future.
I enjoy translating complex systems into clear insights that support
decision-making across business, policy, and public institutions.
With a background spanning electronics engineering and business economics, I have worked across research, analytics, and strategy. That foundation now sits at the centre of my work in energy modelling and transition policy.
My current work at TERI focuses on decarbonisation modelling, exploring frameworks like CGE modelling and carbon markets to understand how economies shift toward cleaner energy systems. Before this, I worked with CEEW's power markets team on renewable energy integration, RE curtailment analysis, and climate-economic research.
Outside work, you will find me on a badminton court, planning my next trip, or reading about energy markets, policy, and economic systems.
Working on decarbonisation research and energy transition modelling, with a current focus on Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS) analysis and CGE modelling frameworks. Building hands-on experience in GAMS and input-output analysis, while supporting policy research and stakeholder engagement on India's energy and climate landscape.
Rural market research and retailer analysis for the Mom's Magic brand. Contributed to a distribution strategy that drove a 60% regional sales uplift, grounding the analytical toolkit in commercial and market realities.
Econometric analysis of how heat exposure affects industrial output, labour productivity, and energy consumption across Indian districts. Used plant-level ASI data and temperature indicators to quantify climate-economic risks and adaptation pathways.
Analysed renewable energy curtailment patterns using plant-level generation data across states and regional grids. Assessed TRAS Down ancillary services, re-backdown compensation mechanisms, and energy storage arbitrage economics in India's power markets.
Discrete-event simulation using Python and SimPy to optimise EV charging at a Delhi depot. Real-world data from 110 buses; Monte Carlo simulation for SOC transitions and queueing behaviour.
Econometric analysis of energy poverty's impact on India's Human Development Index using NFHS panel data across three survey rounds, identifying disparities and recommending policy interventions.
Forecasts India's GHG emissions using SARIMAX and EGARCH models, capturing macroeconomic drivers and volatility trends for climate policy insight.
Facebook Prophet model with cross-validation and holiday adjustments to forecast bike-sharing demand across seasonal patterns.
Random Forest model identifying high-risk churn customers in the energy sector, with feature engineering and EDA to surface key predictors.
